Well have you ever been locked in at your own school? Better yet in the library work room when you forgot to ask a teacher if you could be there. Knowing the only way out was telling the teacher because you are stuck. Well guess what happened to me today! Reid and I were going to the work room, only to find a group already in there. The lab was to crowded so we decided to go to the adult work room. As we were going to tell Mrs. Francine I noticed the door was not opening. As we repeatedly tried opening the door, we decided to signal the people in the next work room. They walked out with a confused look on their face. Once they understood they signaled Mrs. Francine. Within ten minutes the grounds crew were on their way. Instead of waiting, Reid and I took action. We unscrewed a part of the door and yanked with all our might. We heard something go *CLANK* and the door flew open. The grounds crew inspected the door and saw a metal piece sticking out that seemed to be the problem. It was a Scary ten minutes.
(Fenn ninth grade quote) MASALA MASALA MASALA ~ Adam
"New Kid, New Boy, New Guy" The words I have heard multiple times. Waking up in the morning, first day of Fenn eight grade, first day of a new school. Deja vu was the first thought I had. How many times have I done this? How many more times will I start a new school? Walking in like a zombie, people lining up to shake my hand, I know they are just trying to hide the school behind a perfect costume. I have done the new school thing so many time already. Every time it is the same thing.
-Hi whats your name? How are you? Welcome to the (ENTER SCHOOLNAME)
The speech is old, I know it by heart now. The worst part of being new to a school is the teachers. Always giving the new kid all of the attention. I would rather sit quietly and get used to the environment. Putting me on the stage to tell the class about myself is more annoying than fun. We are all going to new schools next year. Being new is not easy. When I was new last year I was worried, just as I am worried too. We will all have to go through the "new process". Next year when all of us are going to our new schools, we will have to find new friends, adapted to a new school and new teachers. It will not be easy adapting to a new environment, but from what we have learned at Fenn and each other I personally feel ready for this change. Hopefully all of you will be ready too.
I wrote this because I was thinking and reflecting on life in general. After a school revisit I sat on my bed and thought to myself, which school will fit me and make my life the way I want it. I started reflecting on what I feal about life in general, and what my theory on it is. So I decided to write this. Ohh and it was homework to write one
It still has not hit me that we have no school for two weeks. For some reason I feel on edge, like Mr.Sharon will jump into my room screaming POP QUIZ! I cannot be the only one? Well I hope everyone is enjoying their break!
One more week until break. Yay! Now there is nothing to worry about, ohh wait... We got three tests this week. Two on Wednesday and one on Tuesday. Why do teachers have to pile on last minute stuff? It is not going to help anyone here. It all came at the worst time ever. Right as the musical was ending, acceptance letters are coming, what are they thinking!
These next few days seem dark. *sigh* Have to just study I guess, push through until Friday.
My group was made up of Adam, Elliot, Max and me. Overall our group did pretty well. There were some bumps in the road we ran into, but it worked out in the end. We all did our share of the work and were able to decide the roles on the first day.
One major setback was when Adam, Elliot and Max were gone. Only I was left. The only thing I was able to do was to write more text. Luckily, we had a lot of filming I was able to edit together when they were gone. Otherwise this was the only problem that we ran into. Everything else went smoothly
Our group was able to work together very nicely. Max was doing the voice over, Elliot and I were writing, Adam was editing together images, and we all helped out with the filming. When we all put our minds together we were able to work extremely quickly. We learned that once the work is split up among ourselves we were able to do very well.
In the future, if groups could get a little more information on what we were supposed to do. The hardest thing was figuring out what and how we were supposed to do this. Otherwise I think Fitz did a great job setting this project up. I had a lot of fun with it and I hope we do more like this.
Currently we are making a movie in English class. The movie is about a theme in Moby Dick. My whole group is at the musical and this is do next Monday. Im sitting here wondering, how are we going to do this?
